Top Tipster and Broadcaster, Ed 'Longshot Ted' Quigley has been amongst the winners lately and serves up a Lucky 15 for Taunton's Tuesday card.

Ted's Lucky 15 bets for Tuesday, Mar 26:

Find the following picks for Tuesday races. Play on the races with our best expert-rated horse racing betting sites:

  • Taunton 2.50 - Ryan's Rocket - bet with bet365
  • Taunton 3.20 - Spitfire Girl - bet with Betfred
  • Taunton 4.20 - Celtic Art  - bet with BetMGM
  • Taunton 4.50 - Annie Wicks e/w - bet with Betway

Taunton 2.50 - Ryan's Rocket

Fergal O'Brien and Paddy Brennan team up with RYAN'S ROCKET who looks to have a golden opportunity to go one better than last time out by landing this Novices' Hurdle over the extended 2m. The 6-year-old was well beaten on debut for the yard when down the field in a Newbury Bumper, but stepped up massively for his Hurdling debut when finishing runner-up at this venue as an unconsidered 50/1 poke behind a talented sort of the Ben Pauling team.

That horse has gone on to run very well in defeat in Grade 2 company on two occasions, so the form looks strong. This isn't a race with lots of strength and depth to it, so getting in the winner's enclosure here looks easily obtainable.

Taunton 3.20 - Spitfire Girl

SPITFIRE GIRL has been a little in the doldrums lately, where it looked as though she was far from a natural over fences. She may well have needed the confidence booster back over Hurdles last time out, when down the field on bottomless ground at Ffos Las, and should be much happier returning to Taunton for a race in which she won 12 months ago.

The ground is likely to be riding similar to how it was when she took this race last year, and from a mark of 95, she is just 2lb higher in her quest to defend her crown. The step back up in trip can only suit, and it is worth noting the form of the Jamie Snowden yard - they have been operating at around a 30% strike-rate for the last fortnight, so the Lambourn handler continues to have his string in rude health.

Taunton 4.20 - Celtic Art

Jeremy Scott has his yard in flying form at present, and the Exmoor trainer can add to his tally here with the 7-year-old CELTIC ART.  The gelding has won three of his 9 starts over Hurdles, and looked as though he benefited from a short break when third over C&D last time out.

The prospect of some slightly better ground will also be music to the ears of connections as it has looked as though Celtic Art has got stuck in the mud on more than one occasion. He looks more than capable of running a big race for a team who have had a wonderful March, including a Cheltenham Festival winner, and have been operating at around a 33% strike-rate for the last fortnight.

Taunton 4.50 - Annie Wicks

The booking of Harry Cobden for the Evan Williams yard naturally grabs the eye, and off a mark of 78, ANNIE WICKS has to come into the equation in this Mares' Handicap Chase over an extended 2m5f. She hasn't shown a great deal so far, including when third on very deep ground at Ffos Las last time out.

However, this is not a strong contest, better ground will suit, and it was noticeable on her Chase debut she jumped noticeably right at many if her obstacles, which was to her detriment, especially at a left-handed track, and so I think Taunton's right-handed and tighter set-up will play much more to her strengths and improvement could easily be on the cards.

Don't forget Ed will be back on Saturday with all his wise wagers for the weekend's action.
